Wildlife Photography Class

My proven self-taught techniques on how to photograph and process digital images of birds and wildlife are sure to elevate your skills, to produce images worthy of hanging with pride. Take a look through my gallery store and imagine yourself taking images you would want to show off to the world! Arrive here at 9:00 am as “point-and-shoot” in full automatic mode, and leave here shooting full manual mode like a pro! Even if you want to focus on other types of images, my class will get you where you need to be to take great pics, and build a foundation to grow from.

We begin with my two hour PowerPoint presentation to build your foundation, and learn how to successfully set up your camera to take great wildlife pictures. I share with you everything I know. (Camera menu examples are based on Canon DSLR bodies, but easily translate to other brands.)

Individual “hands-on” camera settings review, including setting up camera “Custom” shooting modes for quick “turn on camera and shoot” repeatability.

Take a photography field trip to beautiful Sequim locations to practice your new skill sets. Then back to our photo editing studio for hands-on processing, using multiple photo editing software programs, including Lightroom & Photoshop. This is where you get rewarded for all your efforts. We will print your best image as an 8X10 print on my Canon ImagePro 1000 Series 11 color inkjet printer, as a free parting gift to show off your new skills when you go home!
